The Coastal Training Program (CTP) provides the most current science-based information, tools, and techniques to improve coastal decision-making in Alabama. It does this through a variety of trainings that include workshops, hands-on and field activities, and interactive web-based exercises.
The key issues addressed are:
- reduction of non-point source pollution
- land use management practices
- protection of water resources
- preservation of biodiversity
- management of invasive species
Each CTP event is designed to:
- enhance effective networking and collaboration across disciplines
- increase understanding of the social, economic, and environmental impacts of human activity
- promote stewardship within the coastal landscape
Our current and previous trainings are listed on the site, as is information about related regional events. You may sign up to receive announcements of new events. Please contact the CTP Coordinator if you have additional comments.
